The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a weekend Facilities Coordinator to join LAMDA’s busy Estates department.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in delivering key tasks, to ensure the day to day running and maintenance of the building and be a part of the welcoming team for LAMDA. Additionally, you will be responsible for security of the building, opening and locking the building at the start and/or end of the day (on a roster system with others) and to monitor access control systems. You will also be responsible, as a Fire Warden that the building is evacuated smoothly, and that staff and students are directed to the evacuation point.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative team player, with the ability to communicate effectively.

We are currently recruiting Examiners based in the UK to examine our suite of Communication, Performance, Musical Theatre and Shakespeare Examinations.

You must hold a recognised teaching qualification or equivalent, and/or a Master’s Degree in a performance related subject.

You must also have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching across the current LAMDA syllabi, in both Communication and Performance subject areas.

LAMDA Examinations recruit Examiners up to three times per academic year (from August-July). If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview at LAMDA.

Following a successful interview, you will be invited to attend training days in London. Dates and times of this will be confirmed when you are invited to interview.

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and personable Barista/Catering assistant. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers to include students, teachers, staff and visitors helping with food preparation and display, and ensuring health and safety legislation is complied with.

Working closely with the Cafe Manager, you will ensure excellent customer service, create, prepare and display a food and drinks menu, handle ordering, payments and inventory, to provide a service which gives high staff and student satisfaction.

The successful postholder will have relevant experience and working knowledge in Health & safety, Coffee-making or Stock-control. Additionally, you will need to possess a positive attitude and be highly motivated with a drive to introduce continuous improvement.
