Permanent, full-time

35 hours per week; Monday to Friday including an hour unpaid lunch break each day

£25,000 - £27,000 plus benefits

The role

An exciting opportunity has risen within our examinations department. We are particularly seeking an individual who can lead LAMDA’s ‘reasonable adjustment’ operational process and work alongside the Qualifications Manager in administering results.

The successful post holder will have excellent customer service skills, strong communication & numeracy skills whilst being able to work under pressure. As you will be working alongside the examinations team, you will need to have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively and have gained experience in a qualification/ examination administrative role.

Experience of special educational needs in an educational context would be advantageous.

The Role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to support and promote the welfare and pastoral care of students in the Drama School. You will offer professional advice and guidance on students’ wellbeing, working to promote resilience whilst also acting as an accessible first point of contact for students needing rapid mental health interventions.

Located in the Student and Academic Services team, the post requires close liaison with teaching staff, student representatives and third-party providers to ensure students’ needs are being met, and will contribute to all of LAMDA’s policies and plans to support mental health and general wellbeing. 

The successful candidate will have strong experience in at least one area relevant to wellbeing (such as counselling, social work or mental health nursing) and in providing 1-1 support for people in distress as well as knowledge of relevant safeguarding frameworks.

You will have the ability to relate to a wide variety of people whilst being able to set and maintain professional boundaries. Furthermore, you will have the aptitude to respect confidentiality, use tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with students and student matters.

40 hours per week; Monday to Friday plus, occasional evening and weekend work as necessary

£30,000 - £32,000 plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has risen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, to oversee and lead the sound department at LAMDA.

The successful post-holder will have experience as a Sound Designer across all scales of theatre, and the desire to inspire, teach and support the next generation of sound designers and technicians.  Additionally they will give class and be an on line tutor to the student sound designers, production sound engineers and sound assistants

Applicants should have an ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels and understands the sensitivities of a learning environment.

You must have the ability to demonstrate proven theatre sound design experience as well as having an extensive amount of knowledge of all aspects of production sound, and technical procedures in a venue.

An exciting opportunity has risen for an enthusiastic & friendly individual to support the Examinations & Finance department. This position would suit an individual who has a genuine interest in the finance/accountancy sector.

The successful post holder will have a pro-active approach to tasks as well as having excellent numeracy and strong administrative skills.

With previous experience in a similar role, you will have the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst working within a fast-paced environment.

Full-time, fixed-term contract

35 hours per week; Monday- Friday 9:30am- 5:30pm

£20,000 to £21,500 plus excellent benefits

We are presently seeking robust Examinations Administrators to join the Examinations Operations Team. We are looking to urgently hire four posts: out of which two Administrators would be on one year fixed-term contract and two further Administrators on six months fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience in the education sector or similar regulated environment and will have highly developed interpersonal, organisation and IT skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential together with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a very keen eye for detail. Problem-solving skills are a must, as is a positive attitude towards supporting customers.

The Examinations Administrator role involves supporting public and private examination centres who wish to have their Learners examined so that they may achieve a LAMDA qualification. It requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to operating procedures and policies to meet customer requests and meeting standards to achieve published Service Level Agreements (SLA).

The role is office-based in LAMDA’s Examinations Department, part of LAMDA, but separate from the teaching and support of full-time students of the Academy.

We are currently recruiting Examiners based in the UK to examine our suite of communication, performance, musical theatre and Shakespeare examinations.

You must hold a recognised teaching qualification or equivalent, and/or a Master’s Degree in a performance related subject. You must also have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching the LAMDA syllabi. We are also looking for candidates with five years teaching experience in Communication/Speech/English Language and Drama subjects.

LAMDA Examinations recruit Examiners up to three times per academic year (August-July). If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview at LAMDA.
