All about the course

While concentrating on the techniques needed to approach auditions, this course also provides an insight to the fun and rigours of drama training.

Taught by the same tutors and industry professionals that teach our full-time acting courses, the course provides industry insight on audition preparation, including selecting appropriate speeches, and making a positive impression in an audition room.

The course culminates in a day of mock auditions, where you’ll be able to use your new skills and techniques; performing speeches, sight-reading, singing and presenting scene work for camera.

This course is not validated by a higher education institution (HEI). It is one of LAMDA’s own range of non-accredited courses. Once you've completed the course, you will receive a LAMDA short course certificate.

What will I be doing?

Each day will be different, but you can expect the teaching to take shape in any of the following formats:

  • Vocal technique
  • Physical/movement
  • Acting for the screen
  • Group and one-to-one sessions working on modern and classical speeches*

*Please note that material recorded on this course cannot be made available for use outside of LAMDA.
