About the show
In a villa on the French Riviera, a group of young men are desperately trying to learn French ahead of their diplomatic service exams. But when Diana Lake appears on the scene, with the confidence to get who and what she wants, the men realise that diplomacy isn’t solely for international relations.
Interwar gender politics, and the power of language come out to play in Terrence Rattigan’s break-out play.
LAMDA thanks the Terence Rattigan Society for their generous support of this production.
