Alumni News: July edition

Latest releases

• Ruth Wilson has narrated the audiobook of Madeline Miller’s short story Galatea.
• MyAnna Buring and Anya Chalotra return for season 3 of The Witcher, now streaming on Netflix.
• Riches, starring Hermione Norris, is now airing on ITV following its release on ITVX and Amazon Prime last year.
• Until 29 July, Saroja-Lily Ratnavel is starring in The Swell at Orange Tree Theatre.
• Orla Scally is now starring in Fun Home at Gate Theatre in Dublin until 26 August.
• Carys Bowkett stars in Scrapper, which is showing as part of Sundance London at Picturehouse Central in early July, before a wider release later this year. Watch the trailer now.
• Katie Matsell stars in the fourth season of Titans, now streaming on Netflix in the UK.
• Luca Panetta is currently Lighting and Video Associate for A Playlist for the Revolution, showing at Bush Theatre from 3 July – 5 August.
• Elizabeth Colwell features in Slackline Sleepover at the Pleasance on 8 July.
• Flo Guy, Tilly Botsford and Misha Domadia are performing in Izzy Parriss Productions’ Scratch Series at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre from 10 – 13 July.
• James Esler is currently taking part in Donmar Warehouse’s Henry V: Schools' Tour, showing until 14 July.
• Madison Gerringer is directing Fault Line at The Greenhouse Theatre in Canary Wharf on 8 July. The production features fellow alumni Mackenzie Larsen, Catherine Chalk, and Chloe ‘Alex’ Alexander as Stage Manager.
• From 20 – 22 July, Do You Believe In A Parallel Universe? (I Do!) is playing at Riverside Studios featuring Romeo Mika, Jamie Ankrah and Francis Nunnery.
• Marcus Grove is currently Assistant Stage Manager on the UK tour for Blippi The Wonderful World Tour.
• Good Omens season 2 arrives on Amazon Prime from 28 July, starring Quelin Sepulveda and Niamh Walsh.
• Unbelievable is showing at Mercury Theatre from 28 July – 26 August before it transfers to the West End. The production features Lighting Design by Natasha Chivers and stars Yolanda Ovide.

Things to look forward to

• Rebecca Frecknall will direct a new adaptation of The House of Bernarda Alba at the National Theatre in November, starring Harriet Walter.
• Richard Amitage is set to star in ITV thriller Red Eye in 2024.
• Toby Stephens and Clare Skinner are set to reprise their roles in the fourth series of ITV drama McDonald and Dodds, which is now filming.
• Heyfever is playing at the Edinburgh Fringe this August, with cast members Feride Morçay, David Abécassis and Brandon Boruch, and Jahmiko Marshall as Lighting Designer.
• At Edinburgh Fringe from 14 – 26 August, Jessica Munna has written and is starring in Pieces of Us, which is directed by Amy Garner Buchanan.
• Caitlyn Calfas stars in IrrePRESSible at the Edinburgh Fringe, playing from 14 – 26 August.
• Paved with Gold and Ashes with Caroline Letelier is also showing this August at the Edinburgh Fringe.
• Adam Scott Riley features in You Are Going to Die, showing at Edinburgh Fringe this August.
• Chaya Gupta is starring in the Edinburgh Fringe production of We'll Have Nun of It.
• From 2 – 27 August, Ell Potter stars in The Last Show Before We Die at the Edinburgh Fringe.
• Tom Claxton is starring in the Fringe production of A Manchester Anthem.
• Also at Edinburgh Fringe, Sasha Wilson features in The Brief Life & Mysterious Death of Boris III, King of Bulgaria.
• From 24 August - 23 September, Ciarán Owens will star in Farewell Mister Haffmann at Theatre Royal Bath.
• Jerome Yates is set to star in Pentabus Theatre’s production of Driftwood, touring from October.
• Rosa Hesmondhalgh’s play Madame Ovary is heading to the US later this year, when it will open in Philadelphia.
